SUMMARY:Mental Health Aware
DESCRIPTION:This half day course is an introductory four hour session to raise awareness of mental health. \nIt is designed to give you: \n– An understanding of what mental health is and how to challenge stigma \n– A basic knowledge of some common mental health issues \n– An introduction to looking after your own mental health and maintaining wellbeing \n– Confidence to support someone in distress or who may be experiencing a mental health issue. \nLearning takes place through a mix of presentations\, group discussions and workshop activities. \n  \nPlaces will be funded for those living\, working or volunteering in North Yorkshire.
