Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST)
ASIST is a two-day in-person workshop where you’ll learn how to recognise when someone may be thinking about suicide, and how to provide a skilled intervention and develop a safety plan with the person to connect them to further support. You will also consider how personal and community attitudes about suicide affect someone’s openness to seek help and your ability to provide it. Training aims to improve participant skills and readiness to reach in and start a conversation with a person that may have thoughts of suicide. Places will be funded for those living, working or volunteering in North Yorkshire. Refreshments will be available during the session. To secure a place on this training course please contact training provider Katie Marlow direct, cast.learningsolutions.gmail.com.
